This is why you should never get polar bears drunk, I mean unless you’re really ready to party…

So I’ve always secretly (or not so secretly) wanted to be able to ride a motorcycle. I never wanted some crazy fast chopper or a sport Suzuki though, more like an old 1940’s Indian. Something stylish and lightweight, not so much a motorcycle but a glorified moped. I think this is a pretty good alternative. These motorized bicycles are absolutely stunning and I love how they come in a bunch of bright vibrant colors, plus the side bags are great for taking stuff along with you, without the weight of a backpack. So I’ve noticed this trend of one person bands cropping up a while ago and glad to read this NY Times Magazine article about it. Just of the top of my head there’s Owen Pallett, Atlas Sound, Noah Lennox (Panda Bear), Dosh, Ariel Pink, and bunches of others. Thanks to electronics and technology there is no longer many singer-songwriter type peeps out there and more of the bedroom pop musicians who take what they know and create a full band sound or even an orchestral sound with the touch of a few buttons. Jon Brion has had shows where he will make up songs during the concert using instruments scattered across the stage with a big help from a few live sampling loopers at his disposal. The rules binding our creativity or becoming less every day and we’re finding new ways to use technology not as a rigid source but as a malleable tool.
